System/Database Administrator - Information Technology

System/Database Administrator maintains and administers the city's network systems and computers, troubleshoots hardware, software, and networking issues, ensures secure data backups and recoverability, monitors performance, researches improvements, provides technical support, documents processes, responds to user-reported errors, protects databases from threats, collaborates with IT project managers and database programmers, and designs databases with front-end and back-end users in mind. Relevant duties include configuring and maintaining systems, upgrading components, ensuring security, backing up data, reporting metrics, and following city policies.
