System Authorization Specialist

Review requests for prior authorization of medical services including elective surgeries, home health, and out-of-network claims in accordance with government, commercial, and workers compensation guidelines. Perform benefit determination and document findings completely and accurately per healthcare system standards. Act as a liaison with external parties to facilitate smooth workflow transitions while maintaining restricted confidential information. Work independently to solve problems and promote efficient intra and inter departmental relationships. Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm shift required. One year of healthcare authorization experience preferred; CPT and ICD code knowledge is a plus.
