Job Summary
Design end-to-end system architectures for complex software and hardware solutions across AI, XR, and robotics platforms. Define system requirements, interfaces, and technical specifications while leading architectural decisions for distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and embedded environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate technologies, establish standards, and conduct architecture reviews that mitigate technical risks. Support integration, testing, deployment, and long-term system evolution through detailed documentation and diagrams. This role requires a 4+ year background in systems architecture with proficiency in C++, Python, or Java, within an Agile environment supporting mission-critical applications in defense and public safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in Systems Architecture, Software Architecture, or a technical leadership role
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable software design
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in C++, Python, Java, or C#
- Experience designing APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Knowledge of networking, security, and systems integration
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AI/ML platforms and data pipelines
- Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, XR/AR/VR technologies, or computer vision
- Familiarity with embedded systems and edge computing
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and secure system design
- Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or government-funded programs
