Job Summary
Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications and functional prototypes. Perform deep-level code analysis and debugging on existing applications and SQL scripts to conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex issues. Provide essential 24x7 on-call production support or scheduled night shifts to triage and resolve high-priority incidents. Implement application security protocols, conduct unit, integration, and functional tests, and automate business processes using technology. Create comprehensive technical documentation, system flow charts, and operational handbooks. Assist in estimating solution costs, developing use cases, and coordinating testing for new applications. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years of systems engineering experience, and expertise in Azure/AWS, Microsoft infrastructure, and scripting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a relevant systems engineering, SRE, or L3 support role
- Hands-on experience with the full software lifecycle, including patching, installing, upgrading, and maintenance
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or complex SaaS application environments
- Strong expertise in Microsoft infrastructure, including Windows Server Administration, MS SQL, Active Directory, and Hyper-V
- Advanced scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, JSON, shell scripting) for automation and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including both database administration (DBA) and advanced troubleshooting
- A solid understanding of APIs, data structures, and system integrations
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders
- Participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation or scheduled night shifts (with advance notice)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes (K8s)
- Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management (ITSM) frameworks
- A strong understanding of modern cybersecurity standards and best practices
- Experience with Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
- Experience with reducing cyber risk to Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
- Familiarity with hardware and software asset management
