System Analyst

Job Summary
Conduct systems analysis, design, and implementation for business and operational systems across mining operations. Provide first-line technical support, troubleshoot faults, and escalate complex issues to senior analysts or vendors. Document business processes, generate reports and dashboards for decision-making, and support user acceptance testing for new digital tools. Assist in system upgrades, roll-out of process improvements, and user training while ensuring compliance with South African mining legislation and data protection standards. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, 3-5 years of experience, and proficiency in SQL, ERP systems, and data analytics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / National Diploma in Information Systems
- Bachelor's Degree / National Diploma in Computer Science
- Bachelor's Degree / National Diploma in Information Technology
- Bachelor's Degree / National Diploma in Business Information Systems
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Exposure to enterprise systems or data analysis
- Basic systems analysis and business process mapping
- SQL/database querying
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI preferred)
- ERP Systems (e.g. SAP)
- Basic Networking and troubleshooting
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (advantageous): SQL
- Relevant certifications (advantageous): Microsoft / Data Analytics tools
- Relevant certifications (advantageous): ITIL Foundation
- Experience within Mining, heavy industry, or operations environments will be advantageous
