Job Summary

Maintain, configure, and ensure reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, workstations, and networking equipment while installing and upgrading components and software. Troubleshoot hardware and software errors through diagnostics, documentation, and impact assessment to resolve desktop and helpdesk issues with minimal disruption. Provide technical specifications to the Project Team and Manager for IT infrastructure planning and travel onsite to client locations in Bozeman, MT, and surrounding areas to implement solutions and ensure service continuity. Requires 4-6 years of IT administration experience and knowledge of Microsoft technologies, Active Directory, and virtualization.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • 4-6 years of IT administration experience
  • Support for Microsoft technologies, including Windows Servers (FSMO, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Active Directory and Azure AD
  • Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams Online
  • Intune management
  • Virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V
  • Firewall management and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge and experience with complex networking environments
  • Deep understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and file sharing
  • Experience with all modern operating systems
  • Experience with documentation platforms such as IT Glue
  • Experience with Kaseya BMS and VSA
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, Hyper-V, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
  • Consistent hand and finger dexterity necessary to operate computer equipment
  • Consistently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and see
  • Routine use of hands to type
  • Occasional need to stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, crawl, reach, and stretch
  • Consistent vision abilities required; close vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
  • Occasional need to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
  • Travel onsite to client locations as necessary to provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure continuity of services
  • Service Area: Bozeman, MT, with occasional travel to Big Sky, Livingston, and Three Forks
  • Travel Requirements: Onsite to local client's premises

Desired Qualifications

  • System administration and IT certifications in Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
