Job Summary
Administer and maintain on-premises and Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms, enterprise storage, and backup solutions. Monitor system performance, conduct capacity planning, and execute scheduled maintenance cycles while ensuring disaster recovery readiness through regular restore testing. Collaborate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to support infrastructure projects, incident response, and root cause analysis. Maintain accurate technical documentation and inventory of servers, licenses, and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years of experience as a System Administrator in an enterprise environment
- Strong experience with Windows Server environments
- Solid experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V
- Experience with VEEAM or similar backup solutions
- Experience managing SAN/NAS storage
- Experience with Azure infrastructure
- Intermediate Linux administration knowledge
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewall dependencies, QoS)
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash)
- Bilingual (English & French)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to respond to urgent infrastructure incidents
- Comfortable working in server rooms and handling IT equipment when required
Desired Qualifications
- Microsoft, VMware, Azure, or Linux certifications are considered an asset
- Knowledge of ITIL practices is an asset
