Job Summary
System Administrator role within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in Herndon, VA. Responsible for infrastructure administration, automation, information security configurations, software/OS installation, change control, and capacity planning. Tasks include monitoring performance, configuring network services (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory), backups and disaster recovery, implementing security measures (firewalls, endpoint protection, access controls), documenting configurations, and supporting system upgrades and migrations. Must have active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph; 3+ years in Windows/Linux admin; strong AD/DNS/DHCP experience; virtualization familiarity; security auditing/incident response knowledge. Preferred: 5+ or 10+ years and cloud/VDI experience; relevant IT certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- 3+ years in System Administration across Windows and Linux
- Experience with AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP
- Security best practices
- Vulnerability assessments and incident response
- Virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, AHV)
- Associate degree or higher in a relevant field (preferred)
