Job Summary
System Administrator role supporting an intelligence customer in Reston, VA. Responsibilities include maintaining desktop and server systems, administering OS installs, monitoring and problem resolution across client/server/storage/network devices, providing Tier 2/3 support, coordinating preventive maintenance, and contributing to backup and disaster recovery plans. Must work with on-site and remote users, access Night Shift hours (10pm–6am), adhere to STIG guidelines (HBSS/Retina), and have Security+ or DoD 8570 II, TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly eligibility. Desired skills include Windows, Red Hat, Solaris, scripting, and experience in imagery intelligence environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire
- TS/SCI Clearance required
- eligibility to obtain CI Poly
- Experience with UNIX, Windows, and/or Storage administration
- Experience with trouble reporting/tracking systems
- Ability to respond to after-hours calls and on-call support
- Ability to travel 0-20% to local area sites
- Knowledge of security and STIG guidelines
