Job Summary
System Administrator - Backup role focusing on EMC Dell NetWorker backup and restore for Windows and Unix servers. Responsibilities include performing NetWorker backup/restore activities, installation/up-gradation/troubleshooting of NetWorker on Windows and Unix, providing L1/L2 support, coordinating with OEM for L3 support, configuring backups and tape libraries, hardening NetWorker per technical specs, managing backup job scheduling, monitoring performance, preparing daily backup reports, and maintaining logs for audits. Additional duties include knowledge of other backup tools (Symantec NetBackup, BackupExec, Veem), vulnerability management, ITIL-related practices, and knowledge of SAN/NAS storage. Requires a minimum 6 years of work experience with at least 4 years in relevant NetWorker backup activities, a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, and proficiency in English. The role is located in Mumbai with a hybrid-friendly work culture.
