Job Summary
Plan, test, and implement system upgrades to ensure optimal performance and reliability for mission-critical Navy training systems. Support RMF and ATO activities, including vulnerability scanning and development of accreditation artifacts, while applying and maintaining operating system security configurations aligned with DISA STIG requirements. Identify and resolve system flaws, troubleshoot software issues within integrated environments, and ensure compliance with DoD RMF, FISMA, NIST 800-53, and DoD SRG requirements. Conduct vulnerability scans and assessments to safeguard systems from potential threats. This role requires a Top Secret clearance and is based on-site at NAS Point Mugu, CA.
Required Qualifications
- CompTIA Security+ is required
- BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related area of study
- 5 years of related system administration experience
- Strong working knowledge of vCenter/VMware is required
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems is required
- Experience managing DoD Host Based Security Systems (HBSS)
- Demonstrated experience managing Domain Name System (DNS) performance and reliability
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining local and group policies
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) domain controller servers for managing authentication, authorization, and network resources
- Knowledge of log aggregation and analysis across multiple sources
- U.S. citizenship
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
- Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across teams and with external partners
- Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills
- Proactive, self-directed work style with the ability to operate independently
- Analytical thinker with proven problem-solving capabilities
- Highly organized, with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related area of study, desired
- Cloud+ certification
- CompTIA A+ certification
- CompTIA Network+ certification
- 5 years of related system administration experience is preferred
- Experience with Linux is a plus
- Familiarity with Windows PowerShell is preferred
