Job Summary
System Administrator for Security Systems responsible for day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of global physical security systems and the underlying infrastructure. Manages CCTV/VMS (Genetec, Avigilon), access control (Lenel, Genetec), and key management (Traka), along with Windows Server environments, virtualization, networking, and storage. Collaborates with Security Engineering/Security DevOps, site technicians, and facility stakeholders to keep systems reliable, secure, and deployed across data centers and edge sites. Focused on operations with ownership, deep technical skills, and high impact. Responsibilities include administering security platforms, maintaining server infrastructure, Tier 2 incident troubleshooting, coordinating remediation, basic-to-intermediate network troubleshooting, virtualization/storage support, routine maintenance and lifecycle work, documentation and runbooks, continuous improvement through standardization and automation, and providing guidance to internal partners.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator, Security Systems Administrator, or Infrastructure Operations role (data center or critical environment experience preferred)
- Strong experience administering Windows Server environments
- Hands-on experience supporting physical security systems such as VMS/CCTV, access control, and/or key management platforms (Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel, Traka preferred)
- Solid troubleshooting ability across systems and infrastructure layers
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, DNS, routing basics, firewall dependencies, and troubleshooting workflows)
- Strong operational discipline with documentation, change control, and incident response practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional environments
- Nice to Have: Virtualization experience with VMware vSphere; familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation; Storage platform familiarity (Dell PowerScale/OneFS or Pure Storage); Scripting/automation (Ansible, Python, PowerShell); Monitoring/alerting practices; Certifications such as Microsoft/VMware, Security+, Network+, ITIL
