Job Summary
Sys Modeling and Simulation – Algorithms Engineer will design and test custom algorithm solutions and develop/ validate complex models and simulations; role requires on-site work in Aurora, CO with SCI clearance, travel up to 10%, and relocation assistance may be available. Proficiency in MATLAB/Python/C/C++, experience delivering technical presentations, and collaboration across hardware, software, and firmware projects are essential. Described responsibilities include applying a systems engineering approach to understand physics phenomenology and creating in-house algorithms and performance models; MBSE familiarity and agile practices are preferred. The position is within NG Space Systems, with a focus on delivering advanced modeling and simulation capabilities for warfighter advantages.
Required Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 14 years of relevant experience; 12 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 10 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Experience developing custom algorithms and/or performance models
- Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations
- Experience working collaboratively on complex projects that encompass both hardware, software, and firmware
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Understanding of Agile roles and responsibilities
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
