Job Summary
Establish rich, thematically based learning environments with safe centers that encourage complex play and inventory supplies weekly. Implement the Every Child Ready (ECR) instructional model with fidelity while using observational tools to differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including those requiring remediation. Plan and integrate activities promoting early literacy, social-emotional development, and scientific understanding through intentional, playful engagement. Collaborate with families to share educational goals, solicit community contributions, and support the Kindergarten transition process. Guide teaching assistants, lead site committees, and provide feedback on professional development to foster a cohesive team culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in elementary education, reading, psychology, human development, early childhood education or a closely related field
- Two or more years of successful professional teaching experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience, organizational skills and communication abilities to lead or co-lead the instructional team
- Must receive a passing score on the *Praxis II: Early Childhood Education (test code 5025) by the start of the school year or within 60 days of hire date, whichever comes first. *Previous Praxis Early Childhood or Elementary Content Knowledge accepted) (10014)
