SY26-27 Dedicated Aide (East End Campus)

Provide individualized support to students with disabilities to help them progress toward their IEP goals and objectives. Implement strategies to encourage independence, including fading assistance through observing before assisting, using least intrusive prompts, and praising independent attempts. Collaborate with the classroom guide and case manager to evaluate progress, communicate concerns, and participate in team meetings to facilitate the fading process. Adhere to DCPS policies for data collection on student progress and behavioral interventions. Supervise students to ensure safety during transitions, activities, and non-academic times such as lunch and recess. Fulfill supervision duties for another student if the assigned student is absent. Attend mandatory training sessions, supervision meetings, and staff meetings. Lift up to 45 pounds and sit or stand on the floor throughout the day.
