Job Summary
Observe and give feedback on student emotional and behavioral supports in the aftercare program while responding to Social Emotional Learning & Behavior support calls. Communicate with families and BASE instructors regarding support plans, accompany students needing a cool down space, and report concerns to the BASE Coordinator. Attend mandatory professional development sessions and remain current with relevant trends and techniques. Model first and second languages to support the bilingual program while maintaining student welfare through adherence to school policies. This 10-month part-time role begins at $18.40/hour for the Latin American Montessori Bilingual Public Charter School.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- English fluency
- Successful completion of a background investigation
Desired Qualifications
- CDA
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- ABA/RBT Training
- At least one year of experience working in a school setting with young children conducting extracurricular activities
- Energetic, flexible, patient, imaginative, and eager to work in a bilingual and multicultural public school
- Ability to work with students of various abilities, including those with various identified exceptionalities
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in work with LAMB students, staff, and the community
