Job Summary
Carry to completion instructional and supportive activities as assigned by the supervising teacher while providing classroom support to general and special education students. Use student information systems and learning management systems to enter student data. Exercise tact, good judgment, and initiative in dealing with students, faculty, and the public while performing tasks under varying deadlines. Demonstrate proficiency in operating microcomputers, word processors, and peripheral equipment, including Microsoft Word. Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information. This temporary instructional paraprofessional role requires an Associate Degree or completion of 60 semester hours of college coursework, along with satisfactory test scores in reading, writing, and mathematics on the Para-Pro Examination to secure permit status.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet the qualifications by the Dept. of Education to secure Paraprofessional Permit Status
- Associate Degree preferred or completion of at least 60 semester hours of college coursework or satisfactory test scores in reading, writing and mathematics on the Para-Pro Examination
