Job Summary
Enrichment Teacher for KIPP Indy Unite Elementary (grades K-5). Create lesson plans and lead instruction across subject areas, using engaging, age-appropriate strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Regularly assess student performance with data to inform instruction and provide targeted interventions. Maintain high expectations and implement age-appropriate supports to foster growth in academic and social-emotional areas. Create an inclusive, joyful classroom environment that engages students and families, and collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and planning. Manage classrooms effectively, provide individualized support to learners, and participate in school-wide events and family engagement activities. The role emphasizes building strong relationships with students and families, and delivering instruction through an anti-racist lens in a high-excellence mission-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana teaching license or in the process of applying for reciprocity with a valid out-of-state license (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in elementary education or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience (preferred).
- Proven record of fostering academic success in diverse, underserved communities (preferred).
- Experience in using data to guide instruction and improve student outcomes (preferred).
- Unwavering commitment to KIPP Indy’s mission and vision (required).
- Pass a criminal background check, as required by law (required).
