Job Summary
SY High School ISS Teacher (Behavior Support) provides a safe space for PBIS for chronically disruptive students and collaborates with student services, staff administration, and parents. Responsibilities include helping students refocus and de-escalate, maintaining positive classroom management, mentoring and tutoring to foster student success, monitoring suspensions, facilitating continuity of instruction through communication with teachers, and delivering one-on-one counseling on conflict resolution. The role emphasizes building relationships with students and teachers, supporting behavioral change, and completing assigned duties with accommodation as needed.
