Job Summary
The School-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with Paraeducator Duties provides direct support to students with special needs, focusing on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions. Key responsibilities include implementing individualized ABA programs, one-on-one or small-group instruction, data collection on student progress, and collaboration with educational staff. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, an RBT credential, and relevant experience in special education, along with strong communication and teamwork skills. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
Required Qualifications
- A GED or a standard high school diploma from a GaDOE-approved and accredited institution
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential
- Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavior intervention strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students with diverse needs
- Ability to work with clients of multiple ages, skill levels, and behaviors
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reliable means of transportation and ability to travel to multiple locations
