Job Summary
Reading Specialist responsible for implementing research-based reading interventions, writing IEP goals, conducting learning assessments, attending IEP meetings, and collaborating with lead and content teachers to plan and implement learning experiences. The role includes leading small group and individual instruction focused on student difficulties, maintaining records of interventions and progress monitoring, assisting with universal screening and testing accommodations, and ensuring effective two-way communication with families. The ideal candidate has experience with students with IEPs, urban education experience, bilingual proficiency (Spanish, Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole), and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

- Experience working in an urban environment
- Special education license
- Bilingual - Spanish, Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole
- Ability to work closely and collaborate on a professional team
