Job Summary
School Nurse RN in Kansas City, Missouri. Provide health assessments, health histories, screenings (hearing, vision, growth, dental), and referrals. Develop and implement individualized health plans; maintain and interpret cumulative health records; participate on educational evaluation teams to develop IEP and 504 plans. Coordinate crisis interventions, health instruction, and serve on health curriculum committees. Act as liaison between school, home, and community; provide leadership or support for staff wellness; assist in formulating health policies and objectives for the district. Delegate nursing tasks under supervision and provide guidance on health problems. Prepare reports for the superintendent and Missouri State Department of Health and ensure immunization compliance; authorize exclusion and readmission per policy. Reports to Building Principal and Director of Special Services; terms of employment to be established by the Board.,
Required Qualifications
- Current Missouri License
- CPR and First Aid certified
- AED
