Job Summary
Deliver high-quality instructional experiences aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district standards while creating an environment conducive to student learning. Provide learning experiences using innovative approaches and technologies to increase student confidence, monitor students through effective classroom management, and differentiate instruction within a response to intervention framework. Plan and assess curriculum, establish clear objectives for lessons and projects, and maintain accurate records as required by district policy. Confer with students, parents, and colleagues; participate in department curriculum development and faculty meetings; and promote equity for students with special needs or English Learners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary license in: General Science (5-8)
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary license in: Middle School: Mathematics/Science (5-8)
- SEI Endorsement
- Knowledge of current education legislation/regulations
- Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents and advocate for children to effectively problem-solve
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and ability to work with all stakeholders
- Belief in the commitment to increasing personal growth, both academic and social-emotional, to obtain the highest level of achievement for every student
- Must be able to complete NCBC (fingerprinting) and CORI prior to start of employment
