Job Summary
History/Social Studies Teacher responsible for delivering instruction aligned with Massachusetts curriculum frameworks; duties include classroom management, conferences with students, parents, and colleagues, active participation in curriculum development, and collaboration within the department. Responsibilities include differentiating instruction using RTI, implementing innovative instructional strategies and technology, effective planning and assessment, maintaining records, and promoting equity and diversity. Requires MA license in History or Social Science (5-12) with SEI Endorsement; Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in History (5-12) or Social Science (5-12) AND SEI Endorsement
- Knowledge of current education legislation/regulations
- Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Belief in commitment to student achievement and growth
- Master’s Degree preferred (not required)
