Job Summary
Provide research-based, direct reading instruction in small groups for Title I students identified via universal screening. Develop systems to track and monitor student achievement while collaborating with literacy specialists to analyze data and inform daily instructional planning. Administer universal screenings, benchmark assessments, and progress monitoring procedures. Serve on school data teams and parent/teacher conferences to support student learning needs. Coordinate home/school communication with general education teachers and co-facilitate a Title I family event annually. Fulfill all Title I requirements as assigned. This role supports the district's vision of academic excellence for all students within the WPS Title I school environment.
Required Qualifications
- MA DESE Licensure in Reading, all Grade Levels
- MA DESE Elementary Licensure 1-6
- MA DESE Moderate Special Needs Licensure PK-8
- MA DESE Licensure ESL PK-6
- SEI Endorsement
- Working knowledge and experience with Multi-tiered Systems of Support
- Evidence-based reading curriculum and instructional methodology

Desired Qualifications
- MA DESE Licensure in Reading, all Grade Levels, preferred
- Master's Degree in Specialist Teacher of Reading, Language and Literacy, English Language Arts Curriculum, and/or English as a Second Language, preferred
