Job Summary
Provide instruction and support as an ECSE (Special Education) teacher focused on improving communication, social interaction, independent functioning, and academic achievement for students with disabilities. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, differentiating instruction, collaborating with related service providers and general education teachers, scheduling and participating in IEP/Review/Eligibility meetings, communicating with families, collecting and interpreting student progress data, maintaining documentation, conducting FBAs and BIPs as needed, administering assessments, attending special education team meetings, adhering to Head Start/NAEYC/IDEA guidelines, and conducting home visits. Must be able to complete a background investigation and work in a school setting with 185-day calendar; requires Bachelor's degree and proper certification. This position may involve working with paraprofessionals and ensuring accommodations and modifications align with IEPs and district procedures, including DRDP data input and data reviews; strong emphasis on collaboration, assessment, behavior management, and inclusive practices.
