Job Summary
Dean of Students responsible for discipline and social-emotional support, administering behavior interventions, and collaborating with parents, teachers, administrators, and community to implement PBIS and behavior plans; duties include de-escalation, data reporting, RTI collaboration, and development of student behavioral support structures; requires Bachelor's degree and Georgia teaching certification with at least two years of experience with students with learning/behavioral difficulties and strong leadership, communication, and data-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Georgia Professional Clear-Renewable Teaching Certification
- At least two years of successful performance working with children with learning and behavioral difficulties (could be classroom based)
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, conflict resolution, and effective communication
- Knowledgeable/experience in de-escalation strategies
- Demonstrated skills in classroom/student behavioral management
- Demonstrated skills in keeping records, managing and understanding data, and preparing and presenting reports
- Knowledge of federal and state laws, district policies, and instructional best practices
