Job Summary
Provide targeted 1-on-1 support to an assigned student with special needs to promote independence and access to the curriculum under the supervision of general education teachers. Assist students with instruction as directed by the teacher and provide behavioral supports as needed. Collaborate with general education and special education teachers to align support strategies. Maintain professionalism and possess strong organizational skills to manage daily tasks effectively. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with an associate degree or passing ParaPro assessment scores. Candidates must demonstrate patience, empathy, and basic technology skills. Two supervisory references and one family or friend reference are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree (or higher)
- at least 60 hours of college credit with attached transcript in application
- Official ParaPro Assessment Score Report showing a passing score (attach in application)
- Strong patience, empathy, and ability to follow educational plans
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Possess a basic technology skills to support student learning
- Two (2) Supervisory References with valid phone number
- One (1) Family/Friend Reference with valid phone number
