Job Summary
Design weekly lesson plans, teach a common core-based curriculum, and create standards-based assessments while integrating technology and project-based learning into instruction. Motivate scholars toward achievement, meet with parents regarding performance and conduct, and develop individual improvement plans. Collaborate with special educators in a co-teaching model for students with IEPs, work with school and network teams, and attend weekly professional development training. Create and review student assessments, provide tutoring, and fulfill other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a current TN teaching license in Science with appropriate endorsement codes
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Good communication and written skills
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills

- Proven track record of academic success as evident in TVAAS, state assessments, and value ad data
- Hold the belief that all students can learn at high academic levels
- Uses digital content, technology integration, and project-based learning in a highly proficient manner
- Have the ability to work in an extended day environment
