Job Summary
CDL-A Switcher (Yard Jockey) responsible for moving trailers between the warehouse dock and yard locations in Fontana, CA. PART-TIME role with 1st and 2nd shift options and home daily. Requires a valid Class A CDL and at least 1 year of driving experience within the last 3 years. Successful candidates will pass DOT pre-employment screening and maintain DOT medical qualifications, read/write/speak English per DOT regulations, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The position offers paid orientation and safety training, modern equipment, and a driver-referral program. Duties include safely moving trailers to and from the dock and yard locations using yard trucks, ensuring timely operations in a logistics environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Minimum of 1 year Class A driving experience (or equivalent military driving experience) within the last 3 years
- Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and meet DOT medical qualifications
- Current DOT physical certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to read, write, and speak English in compliance with DOT regulations
