Switcher (B2) Night Shift

Job Summary
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and cargo, checking tires, lights, brakes, oil, and water. Maintain the daily cross-dock switching operation by moving trailers to appropriate locations and washing bays as requested. Monitor equipment condition, report issues immediately, and ensure loads are secured using E-Tracking or load bars. Protect material from outdoor elements and report accidents, incidents, or equipment damage. Train others when required and comply with all health, safety, and U.S. DOT regulations. Full-time night shift rotating Thursday through Saturday (6 pm–6 am) with alternating Wednesdays. High school diploma and two years of trailer/truck experience required; CDL Class A preferred. Clean driving record with no major chargeable accidents in the last three years.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years current Trailer/Truck experience
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 minor violations in the last 3 years
- Accidents – no major chargeable in the last 3 years and no more than 1 minor chargeable per year in the last 3 years
- Must be able to pass road/yard test
- Complete a background and drug test screening
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without accommodation
- Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending, squatting, and crawling on a regular basis
Desired Qualifications
- CDL Class A License
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate to transport hazardous material
