Switchboard Operator

Telecommunications Operator responsibilities include serving as the initial public contact for multiple sites, handling all departments' calls accurately and timely, initiating alarm, code, and on-call procedures, and serving as the regional Transfer point for Center. Duties include receiving patient transfers (in and out), accessing all parties by type transfer, and completing transfer reports on the Lynx System. Responsibilities require clear diction, excellent telephone/reception manners, good memory and judgment, public-relations ability, and the ability to multi-task while remaining calm under pressure. 2nd shift with rotating weekends and holidays.
