Switchboard Operator Supervisor

Oversee daily switchboard operations at the Erie VA Medical Center by answering and processing incoming and outgoing calls, routing them to appropriate departments, and responding to emergency codes and alarms. Manage the telephone operator team by monitoring performance, auditing timecards, preparing schedules, and addressing disciplinary or operational deficiencies. Coordinate staffing for all required tours, handle call-outs and breaks, and provide guidance to subordinate employees while maintaining compliance with VA policies and contract requirements. Handle difficult callers and operate the VA paging and telecommunications systems as needed.
