SWITCHBOARD OPERATOR (7:00AM - 3:00PM) Part Time

Handle 24/7 telecommunications as Switchboard Operator at a VA Medical Center and affiliated clinics. responsibilities include answering all incoming calls promptly, operating the switchboard and paging systems, routing patient, staff, and public inquiries, responding to emergency calls, alarms, disaster codes, and 911 notifications, announcing emergency codes via public address and paging systems, maintaining call logs and incident records, assisting callers with outgoing calls, monitoring alarm systems and emergency communication equipment, providing calm, professional service to distressed callers, and using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for reporting while complying with HIPAA and VA policies.
