Swiss Lathe Production Machinist

Job Summary
Operate and monitor CNC machines and other production equipment to manufacture medical components while performing routine maintenance to minimize downtime. Inspect finished products against quality standards, document production activities, and report discrepancies to the supervisor. Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow, assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues, and participate in training sessions for new machinery. Maintain a clean work environment adhering to safety protocols and utilize measurement tools to ensure precision. Requires high school diploma, one year of manufacturing experience, and proficiency in reading blueprints and operating manual equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with operating and maintaining CNC machines and manual machining equipment
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic machining issues independently
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine operation software
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a vocational program in machining or a related field
