Swiss CNC Machinist

Job Summary
Operate Swiss-style CNC machines to produce precision machined components. Perform machine setups, tool changes, and production changeovers. Load and unload materials and finished parts. Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and process documentation. Apply GD&T principles during setup, inspection, and troubleshooting activities. Assist with troubleshooting machining issues and identifying process improvements. Modify existing programs and switch between established programs as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Move between machines and production areas to support operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating Swiss-style CNC machines
- Experience with machine setup, operation, and production monitoring
- Experience with Star and/or Tsugami Swiss machines preferred
- Experience machining 316 stainless steel, aluminum, and Monel
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and cutting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to collaborate with team members
- Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and work across multiple machines
