Job Summary
Universal Caregiver / Med Aide position in an Assisted Living/Residential Care setting. Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living activities, medication setup and administration after training, updating resident records, observing and reporting changes in residents’ health and behavior, maintaining a clean and safe environment, food preparation and service, supporting daily activities, and attending trainings. Requires adaptability, compassion, strong communication with residents and team, and adherence to state regulations. Requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months related experience or training with seniors, CPR/First Aid and Food Handler certifications (can be obtained during hiring), and completion of Pre-Service Universal Caregiver training with ongoing training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience and/or training with working with seniors
- Basic computer skills/knowledge
- Valid CPR, First Aid and Food Handlers cards (can be acquired during the hiring process)
- Pre-Service Universal Caregiver training is required but part of your onboarding and training.
