Swing Shift Dimensional Checker - UT Level II

Job Summary
Perform in-process, final, and visual inspections of weldments in accordance with AWS D1.1, D1.5, and D1.8. Conduct Ultrasonic Testing (UT Level II) and verify fabricated components meet project tolerances. Document inspection results, maintain traceable quality records, and identify Non-Conformance Reports. Review shop drawings and specifications from DOT and other clients to support fabrication teams. Coordinate with project management and third-party inspectors during hold points and audits. Work swing shift Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-2:30am in Tigard, OR. UT Level II certification required; minimum 3 years of structural or bridge inspection experience.
Required Qualifications
- UT Level II certification in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A
- Minimum 3 years of experience in AWS D1.5 Bridge OR Structural inspection
- Strong knowledge of AWS D1.5, D1.1, D1.8, AISC, ASTM, and DOT specifications
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and specifications
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- MT Level II certification
- Familiarity with ODOT, Caltrans, or WSDOT project workflows
- Experience with digital or Excel-based QA tracking tools
- Exposure to coating inspection and SSPC standards
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
