Job Summary
Lead the Swing Shift Department during afternoon and evening hours by assisting customers, stocking merchandise, maintaining displays, and ensuring the department is clean and organized. Provide coaching and direction to team members while supporting daily store operations, merchandising, and sales goals. When scheduled as the Person in Charge, serve as the Manager on Duty to receive shipments, control expenses, enforce safety policies, and oversee overall store activities including cashiering and freight processing. This swing shift role involves four 10-hour weeks with hours starting in the afternoon. Bi-Mart, a Northwest community-based retailer, offers this position to dependable leaders committed to exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Ability to delegate work while ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
- Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment while serving as the Manager on Duty
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move merchandise throughout the shift
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to lead by example
- Previous experience as a department manager, cashier, sales associate, bagger, warehouse worker, or other retail positions
- Prior experience at retail brands such as Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Albertsons
Desired Qualifications
