Job Summary
Lead the afternoon and evening department by assisting customers, stocking merchandise, maintaining displays, and replenishing inventory. Provide coaching and direction to team members while achieving sales, merchandising, and operational goals. When scheduled as Person in Charge, serve as Manager on Duty to receive shipments, control expenses, ensure in-stock conditions, and enforce safety and cash handling policies. Oversee daily activities including merchandising, freight processing, and loss prevention to minimize shrink and protect assets. Work four 10-hour shifts weekly in a fast-paced retail environment, earning an additional $2.00 per hour during PIC assignments.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Ability to delegate work while ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
- Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment while serving as the Manager on Duty
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move merchandise throughout the shift
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to lead by example
- Previous experience as a department manager, cashier, sales associate, bagger, warehouse worker, or other retail positions
- Prior experience at retail brands such as Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Albertsons
