Job Summary
Feed and water animals, clean and disinfect pens and stalls, and label livestock for identification. Move pigs through breeding, gestation, and farrowing phases while wearing appropriate PPE. Monitor sows during farrowing, assist with births, and ensure piglets receive proper care, treatment, and colostrum. Administer vaccines per health protocols, castrate, and inject as needed. Inseminate sows artificially and observe animals for estrus. Maintain accurate records of identification, breeding, farrowing, and treatments. Assist in meetings and trainings while adhering to biosecurity policies. Control ventilation and maintain facility hygiene. Perform minor repairs on equipment, buildings, and pens.
Required Qualifications
- Ser ciudadano mexicano
- Titulo y cedula profesional (del area agropecuaria: MV, MVZ, agronomo general, agronomo zootecnista, ingeniero agropecuario, etc)
- Kardex profesional
- Pasaporte con vigencia minima de 3 años
- Graduate with a 4-year degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Animal Breeding, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering or other acceptable degree in related field of study
- People management principles, leadership techniques, and resource management
- Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
- Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task
- Reliability - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy
- Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one's conduct
- Adaptability – Flexibility to adjust task(s) and/or schedule based on needs of the day
