Job Summary
Feed and water animals, clean and disinfect pens, and label livestock for identification. Move pigs through breeding, gestation, and farrowing phases using proper PPE, monitor sows during birth, and assist with calving protocols. Process piglets by tail docking, injection, and castration, while administering vaccines per health schedules. Identify animals for weaning and transport, observe estrus, and perform artificial insemination. Maintain accurate records, adhere to biosecurity policies, control ventilation, ensure facility hygiene, and perform minor equipment repairs. Assist in meetings and trainings as needed. This role supports daily animal welfare and production goals across facilities in Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Missouri, and Arizona.
Required Qualifications
- Ser ciudadano mexicano
- Titulo y cedula profesional (del area agropecuaria: MV, MVZ, agronomo general, agronomo zootecnista, ingeniero agropecuario, etc)
- Kardex profesional
- Pasaporte con vigencia minima de 3 años
- Graduate with a 4-year degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Animal Breeding, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering or other acceptable degree in related field of study
- People management principles, leadership techniques, and resource management
- Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
- Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task
- Reliability - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy
- Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one's conduct
