Job Summary
Feed and water animals, clean and disinfect pens, and move livestock through breeding, gestation, and farrowing phases while wearing appropriate PPE. Monitor sows during farrowing, assist with calving, and ensure piglets follow heating, treatment, and nursing protocols. Administer vaccines per health protocols, castrate and inject piglets, and inseminate sows artificially. Label animals for identification, identify weaning candidates for transport, and observe estrus for breeding. Maintain accurate records of identification, breeding, farrowing, and treatments; attend meetings and trainings. Adhere to biosecurity policies, control ventilation, ensure facility hygiene, and perform minor equipment and building repairs.
Required Qualifications
- Ser ciudadano mexicano
- Titulo y cedula profesional (del area agropecuaria: MV, MVZ, agronomo general, agronomo zootecnista, ingeniero agropecuario, etc)
- Kardex profesional
- Pasaporte con vigencia minima de 3 anos
- Graduate with a 4-year degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Animal Breeding, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering or other acceptable degree in related field of study
- People management principles, leadership techniques, and resource management
- Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
- Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task
- Reliability - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy
- Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one's conduct
- Adaptability – Flexibility to adjust task(s) and/or schedule based on needs of the day
