Job Summary
Feed and water animals, clean and disinfect pens, and label livestock for identification. Move pigs through breeding, gestation, and farrowing phases while monitoring sows during birth and assisting with newborn care. Administer vaccines per health protocols, castrate and tail-cut piglets, and inseminate sows artificially. Maintain accurate records of animal identification, breeding, and treatments while adhering to biosecurity policies. Control ventilation for air flow and perform minor equipment repairs. Work in Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Missouri, and Arizona. Requires a Mexican citizen with a relevant four-year degree and professional license.
Required Qualifications
- Origin from Mexico or Canada
- Mexican citizen
- Title and professional license (in the agricultural area: MV, MVZ, general agronomist, zootechnical agronomist, agricultural engineer, etc.)
- Professional Kardex
- Passport with minimum validity of 3 years
- 4-year degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Animal Breeding, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering or other acceptable degree in related field of study
- Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
- Trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task
- Trait of being dependable and trustworthy
- Attendance is required
- Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one's conduct
- Flexibility to adjust task(s) and/or schedule based on needs of the day
