Swimming Pool Service Technician I

Job Summary
Conduct weekly pool cleanings, water testing, and chemical balancing while independently managing assigned service routes. Assist senior technicians with complex tasks including pool openings, closings, cover adjustments, and equipment repairs such as leak detection and plumbing support. Load and unload service vehicles, track inventory, and document all services with accurate notes and job-site photos. Safely handle and apply pool chemicals per manufacturer guidelines while maintaining high safety standards. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak season, with 90-100% travel required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Valid driver's license in your state of residence
- General pool background experience
- Excellent organization skills
- Quick learner
- Result oriented
- Attention to detail
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Must be willing to travel 90-100%
- Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Flexibility on schedule including working outside of a scheduled shift, evenings, weekends and potentially holidays during peak season
- Must be equipped with standard necessary tools to complete pool service repairs and services
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds, independently
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to wear required PPE (e.g., hard hats, safety boots, gloves)
- Ability to communicate promptly and clearly via phone and computer
- Ability to drive or travel between job sites as needed
- Must have the physical stamina to perform repetitive motions and handle manual labor associated with pool maintenance and equipment handling
