Job Summary
Conduct group and individual swim lessons in a safe and responsible manner, motivating members to improve technique, water comfort, and self-confidence. Motivate guests to increase swim skills while maintaining high safety standards during instruction. Other duties may be assigned as needed. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18.50 to $20.45, plus a $5.00 bonus per private, semi-private, or select group lesson. Candidates must hold American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (under 16) or Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (18+), with a minimum of one year instructing experience preferred. Flexible scheduling is available.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with aquatics industry
- Swimming proficiency
- Minimum 16 years of age and American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (includes CPR/First AID/AED for the Professional Rescuer)
- Minimum 18 years of age and American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1year instructing swim lessons preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High School diploma preferred
