Job Summary
Teach and deliver structured swimming lessons aligned with the British Curriculum PE outcomes, including water safety, stroke development, and personal survival skills. Differentiate instruction for varied abilities/ages, assess progress, provide feedback, and maintain records. Ensure active supervision with the School Lifeguard, enforce pool safety and ADEK-compliant health and safety processes, and uphold safeguarding standards. Collaborate with PE staff, lifeguards, and school leadership; communicate with parents about progress and safety; participate in training and professional development. Demonstrate vigilance, professionalism, and teamwork, with strong emergency response capabilities and adherence to ISP safeguarding principles.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Swimming Coaching Certification recognized in the UAE
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- Proven experience teaching swimming, preferably in a school or youth-focused environment
- Familiarity with the British Curriculum PE framework and age-appropriate swimming progression
- Knowledge of ADEK health, safety, and safeguarding expectations in schools
