Job Summary
Lead swim team practices 2-4 nights a week by providing workouts, instructions, motivation, and support while maintaining a safe and fun environment. Serve as the primary coach on deck during sessions, ensuring all participants receive direct guidance. This role requires current Professional CPR, AED, First Aid, and YMCA/Lifeguard certification, plus proficiency in all four strokes. Candidates must demonstrate strong teamwork skills to collaborate with other coaches and team leaders. Required Qualifications
- Current Professional CPR, AED and First Aid
- YMCA/or American Red Cross Lifeguard/or Ellis certification
- Ability to perform all four strokes (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle)
- Lead practices 2-4 nights a week
Desired Qualifications
- YMCA Swim Instructor or WSI
- Current O2 certification
- Competitive swimming experience
- Experience coaching and managing team practices several days a week
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Ability to collaborate with other coaches and team leaders
