Job Summary
Swim Team Coach responsible for assisting the Head Swim Team Coach with daily practices and group workouts, helping register new participants, and maintaining aquatics facilities across indoor and outdoor pools. The role involves running daily practices, promoting Life Time products and services, and supporting an inclusive, merit-based competitive environment. Requires high school diploma or GED, 1 year coaching experience, ASCA/USA Swimming membership, Lifeguard certifications (StarGuard Elite or equivalent) and CPR/First Aid, plus ability to swim 25 yards and lift up to 20 lbs. This is a full-time, in-club position located in Berkeley Heights, NJ, with wage range $16.50–$19.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of swim coaching experience
- Member of ASCA
- Member of USA Swimming
- Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
- Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
- Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certification (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year)
- For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C
- Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
