Swim Instructor

Instructs swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines, developing lesson plans and providing direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students. Builds positive relationships with participants, families, volunteers, and staff; communicates aquatics program information, maintains attendance and progress records, and ensures safety procedures are followed. Trains and supervises class aides and handles equipment, while referring participants to other YMCA programs as appropriate. Demonstrates swim instructor skills per YMCA standards and supports child safety and abuse-prevention training as required. Must be at least 16 years old and able to meet the program's safety and supervision requirements.
